The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus, in iOS 10.3.2. The result of completing these steps will be that you have recorded sound using the microphone on your iPhone. That recording can then be saved to your iPhone with the name that you choose. You can play back that voice memo at any time.
Step 1: Open the Voice Memos app.
Step 2: Tap the red circle at the center of the screen to begin recording.
Step 3: Tap the red button again when you have finished recording.
